Target is The Devil

I'll tell you why in a minute. Meanwhile:

  • This Sunday's journey into delusion is Lipstick Jungle- Season One. Goes great with a pint of Ben and Jerry's Banana Split.
  • When's the last time you've done something filled with passion?
  • I've recently finished reading Keeping The Faith, Faith Evans' memoir. It was really really really good, completely different from the trendy "tell all" style of memoir publicised by others.
  • With Laverne on I Want To Work For Diddy, and Isis on America's Next Top Model is the media and entertainment industry progressing or just setting the LGBT community up for mockery? ( Although , VH1 did produce The RuPaul Show years ago, remember? )
  • I went into Target today to purchase some new bath mats and one of those home accesories that lines up tealights in a row. I ended up spending over $109. I didn't find the tealight thing.
  • For us single people, do you think we've become too comfortable with being alone? To the point where our life has no space to include anyone else, since we've gotten to the point where we can provide every and anything that we need?
  • Remember when I said anyone that I was interested in atleast deserves a date? Who was I kidding?
  • I guess I should acknowledge that this upcoming weekend is Atlanta's Annual Black Pride- Labor Day Weekend also known as The Conference. I guess I will see you at some point during the weekend. I'll probably be drinking which means you should feel free to say hello.
  • Cassie's new video for Official Girl: ( I'll let you watch it and you tell me what you see. I miss Aaliyah.)

Another Tortured Dating Post

Usually on Sundays , I lay in the bed and watch romantic comedies and episodes of Platinum Weddings OnDemand. This past Sunday, I couldnt find any good movie to watch and while I tried to watch other well received 3, 4, 5 star movies, I ended up stopping them. This should have been a good thing considering all the movies usually do is get me all worked up and emotional. Suffering myself with mushy , sappy throw up so I'll end up with a heart full of hope including " the one" and some kind of cliched happy ending complete with a candy buffet and those Cirque De Soleil style ribbon dancers that hang from the ceiling. Then maybe I won't end up bitter. Then I can sink into my delusion and not delete every number in my phone because maybe just one of them might be "him". ( Are you miserable yet? ) In the meantime, my body needs maintenance and I haven't been impressed by anyone offering. ( Whassup, my name is Valentino. Nice to meet you. ) I did meet this man in the Atlantic Station Parking Garage with some very huge arms who couldn't believe I wasn't 19 y/o . ( A gift and a curse.) So he hasn't called me, and I'm assuming that was the reason or he " wasn't that into me." I'm more upset I didn't get to frolick on those arms. I also had a very nice date a few weeks ago with a very nice man . A very nice familiar man. You know, the ones that belong to that extensive brotherhood which practically runs Atlanta. In every familiar case that I've come across someone that there's seems to be something there that I couldn't put my thumb on. It ends up being that. Except well, this guy was in the other brotherhood. Isn't it always either/ or? Hmmmm... Well I found myself comfortably fuschia while on the date with him and it took everything not to jump on his lap. I even thought as far as inviting him on a trip with me and a few friends a few months from now....considering... Oh. In case we talk about him again his name is : BourgieEyes. Say hi, he does read the blog.
